How to Wear Your Flannel |

Oversized flannels are always great for a chilly fall day....oh, and for hiding all the extra leftovers you've been eating all weekend, ha. Thanksgiving is officially over *sigh*, which means back to reality this week. Holidays just never seem to be long enough the older you get. I am so thankful to have gotten to spend it with my family and boyfriend though. But all in all, I'm happy to be back to blogging now that our little break is over.

So, flannels are back and better than ever. Especially oversized ones that you can pair with leggings. You can wear them open or closed, with a nice blouse or a t-shirts, with jeans or leggings, dress them up or down. All around, the perfect flannel is a must have piece in your closet.

Here's how I paired mine!

Denim Style |

"When in doubt, wear denim"

TRUE. I'm not sure whose idea it was to bring back denim style, but count me in! I'm always looking for fun pieces to put in my closet that I can mix and match between different outfits. This skirt can do just that! You can pair it with basically anything and it'll look good. Anyone who knows me or has read my blog at all, can easily tell that I LOVE dressing up t-shirts. I've always been a fan of comfort, all while being into dressing up. So why not do both?! I think people assume when you wear a t-shirt that you automatically look have to look like you're going for a plain / easy / casual look.... wrong. Don't be afraid to spice up your fave tee to stand out. This Shop Local KY tee went perfect with the denim skirt, and pairing it with over-the-knee boots made this outfit pop. Overall, I loveee that this outfit can make such a simple t-shirt go from blah to fun with just a skirt and boots. Fashion is supposed to make YOU happy and feel good, have fun with your style!

Simple Black |

"You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at any age. You can wear it for almost any occasion." - Christian Dior

A very true quote by such a huge fashion icon. Wearing black is always a good idea! I thought I'd show how throwing on a simple black top of any kind can still make for a chic outfit. Pair it with your favorite jeans and throw a wedge heel in there and you look like you're ready to take on anything.

Easy Casual / Game Day Look |

It's that time of year again - fall weather, hoodies, hot chocolate, bonfires, pumpkin patches, and most importantly... football. But when you live in Kentucky, you know that the weather tends to be a little crazy. It can go from cool and sunny, rainy, snowing, all the way back to 90 degrees! So on those warmer fall days, this outfit is perfect!

Whether you're going to tailgate, just watching, or actually go to the game - you have to be supporting your favorite team! Dress up your fave game day tee with some shorts and a light cardigan for an easy, casual game day look.

I'm a sucker for tucking any shirt into whatever type of bottom I have on, so of course I tucked this Kentucky Tee from Blue Originals (totally WON this t-shirt btw, look for details below), into my Lauren James Bow Shorts. This light lace cardigan from Adorabelles is one of my go-to's. It great for having an extra layer without burning up! And to top it all off, I put it with a pair of booties from JustFab

Happy Tuesday | Royal Blue Dress Look

Happy Tuesday! Looks like we survived Monday again, so way to go. It's been a crazy month for me considering I've been trying to balance out all the things in my life at once. Such as dealing with midterms and trying to pass them all, working, babysitting, studying some more, trying to squeeze in at least one episode of OTH in a day (yes, I'm just now on season 5), family time, try to have some form of a social life, Oh, and trying to get some sleep in the middle of it all. Although I am not complaining! I'm thankful for this busy life of mine. I let stress get to me sometimes, but at the end of the day I know how blessed I truly am to just wake up happy and healthy every morning.

So, I thought I'd show you all one of my new favorite pieces that I recently got and how I styled it. I always have to be a fan of royal blue because it's UK's color. That made it pretty easy to pick this dress out because I wore it for the first football game of the season, Go Cayuts! Now that the weather is finally dropping a bit, this would be perfect paired with a cute cardigan or thicker kimono. Since this dress has such a beautiful pattern, I did simple jewelry so that it wouldn't take away from it.  Just pearl earrings and my go-to bracelets! Depending on how long you'll be on your feet, you could do wedged booties or simple low ones like these.
